Letter from the Outfitter

Another awesome year at Midwest Whitetail Adventures. Our staff would like to thank the hunters that helped us to achieve our goals for 2007 and welcome the new hunters for 2008.

The heavy acorn crop throughout the Midwest made things difficult from years past. The big bucks were staying in the hardwood bottoms till long after light so the typical corn field and bean field hunts had to be adjusted. The hunt had to be adjusted and our guides did just that. They spent hours upon hours making adjustments to our stands and it paid off.

Then came the part we feared, we had a trickle rut with the rut lasting longer but not as intense. Then came the snow and ice. Both gun hunts were bitter cold and our hunters hunted through it.

After all was said and done we harvested 23 bucks, 10 does had 4 bucks lost and 24 misses. So for a tough year we still feel we lead the pack in our area for outfitters.

2008 we will be back to normal with very little acorn crop due to the drought of 2007. So look out for a banner year at MWA.
